RIVER BEND

Mr. and Mrs. Marchenkow celebrated their second wedding anniversary Sunday at their home near Little Prairie. Mr. and Mrs. Whitney, Gladys and Gray were guests for the day.

Mr. and Mrs. Whitney went to Berwyn by train last Thursday on business.

We have had some good rains lately and in some parts of the district there has been hail.

The crops and gardens are coming along well so far in Harmon Valley district.

We are expecting Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Anderson in Harmon Valley any day now. They have been living in Carcajou the past 10 months. All who know Mrs. Anderson (nee Rose Nagy) will welcome she and Mr. Anderson.

Our next church service at Little Prairie church will be July 8, weather permitting.

Work has been started, cutting the trees and clearing the ditches on the road from Mrs. Whitney’s quarter down to the hill. We wonder if the new road will be done this summer, or are we expecting too much.
